Please note that membership of South Nottingham Hockey Club is only achieved by payment of the full membership subscription, and not by payment of match taxes. Failure to pay the annual subscription by the due date may result in non-selection for representative games. Any member who fails to pay their membership subscription will risk suspension from training, selection for matches, and ultimately will be deemed to have resigned from the club. Members who are experiencing difficulty paying their Annual Membership Subscription must write immediately to Club Committee via the Club Chairman or Cllub Secretary explaining the reason; Committee will consider the member's circumstances in confidence and sympathetically.
Match Taxes 2008/2009
A match tax is levied for all Seniors matches. No match tax is levied on Juniors fixtures.
Players in Seniors matches are normally Senior members; however, Youth members regularly play in Seniors matches, and it is not uncommon for more experienced Juniors (usually around the 15-16 age group) to play in Seniors games. The match taxes below therefore reflect a reduced match tax rate for Junior/Youth players. Rates are currently:
Senior member playing in a Seniors match................ £8.00
Junior/Youth member playing in a Seniors match.... £5.00
Substitutes not used in a match do NOT pay a match tax.
