Men's 2nd XI Vs West Bridgford 5

The 2nds were playing their first friendly of the season at the academy of Hockey Bingham Leisure Centre. A much changed team saw 3 debutants take a bow. Carlos, Archie and Sam influenced the game early especially down the right side as South took the game to WB. Scoring a goal on his debut was a just reward for Archie who worked hard and created many chances as we dominated the game in the first half. Despite this we went into half time 2-1 down!

WB played some nice Hockey in the early 2nd half and were clinical when in the D scoring a further two goals. At the other end their keeper had an inspired game saving the multitude of changes we continued to create. Another skillful run by Carlos ended with Elliot scoring (at last!). One more goal for WB was answered by a goal for Carlos who had been thwarted all game by the keeper!
All round a really good competitive game, thanks to Dick and Simon for umpiring.
