South Nottingham 0 - Beeston 3
On the back of two heavy defeats the 2s welcomes the unbeaten leaders of the division. Skipper Grozzy talked about the team needing to react and show the type of fight missing from the last couple of games. Beeston started the game with a swagger and tried to attack fluidly, however they came up against an obstinate outfit in South this week. The defence held strong with Brian and Will repelling every attack and launching our attacks. The midfield were increasingly influential as Sharpie harried their playmakers around the park. Despite this Beeston managed to steal a goal. Sam ripped their defence apart minutes later and just couldn’t convert to bring us level. After Halftime, South reapplied the hard work again, and despite a further couple of scruffy goals against didn’t get the recognition for giving the leaders their hardest game of the season. Special mention to Chris who had a great day between the sticks.
