Match report from Sam Lane - DOD!!!
I received the accolade for twice shouting “well done players” of similar.... clearly I was referring to the fine bunch of players in front of me and not Nottm Players...... the game started a little cagey with us having by far the better possession and chances... we finally broke the deadlock with a goal from the skipper after a miss hit from Neil Batty that saw him somehow lift the ball from deep in our half over the chesterfield back line to leave Stuart Croston 1 one 1.... so we headed into the second half 1-0 up playing downhill with the wind behind us.... we started brightly with Harry Lane continuing to bang on the door with creativity and efforts of his own, with Leon Pinkney and Brian Blackmore holding strong at the back... I even managed to clatter through a “player” to help keep our door locked!!! With some exciting forward play, jon lane one his reverse, Harry lane open side, reverse, powerful flicked efforts all being clawed out by their MOTM (the keeps) we finally put the game to bed with a flowing move that saw Chris Cotterill score!! So final score... us 2 them 0!! Thanks to Dick and Ray for umpiring once again!!
