Match Report | South Notts 1s went to bottom of the league Newark 2s. South made sure to go into the game with the mindset that a win was not a given and we must keep playing as a team and put into action our recent training. And we did just that. The first half went well with many chances created, any counter attacks by Newark were easily broken down and some joyful passing was on display by south. Half time ending with South 5-0 up. The second half started slow with South once again having all the possesion, just needing another goal to reignite us. Which once arrived South went on to win 11-0. South played some seriously good passing hockey, very rarely in a game like that does a team really stick to what’s working rather then start dribbling but South did showing the great team spirit and attitude within the team. Goals from Gaz B = 4, Carlos, Nathan and Tom C each with 2 (jug avoidance) and Brainz with 1 |
