Match Report

SNHC 1st team VS Boots 3rd Team.

Final score 4-0 win

South turned up to a very wet and cold Bingham. Ready to take battle against Boots, whose 1st team had a gap week but that didn’t stop us. Yet again a brilliant South Notts team taking on the team in front of us

When we got there we were told be the man him self Gaz Bland that Mr Will Honey was going to be late. Leaving us with the bare 11 to start that game. Without Tommy Pistolis being around to sit at the back along side Matty Robbison, Harry Lane stepped up to take his chance.

On to the game, We didn’t let them score in the 1st 10 minutes like normal, yes this might come as a shock. We were rewarded with a 16, that Harry took with an Ariel ball over the top to Tom Crosland who played James turner ‘Carlos’ in for the 1st goal of the game. Then we started to play some really good hockey not letting Boots have any chance to score, we then add to the goal tally to make it 2 with the brilliant top two playing the ball around the Boots defenders. Carlos made it two for us with a good finish. I still don’t know if he knows how he scored it but that’s for a different day however, the SNHC defenders kept it clam at the back with lovely inter play between the back 4. Tom Fletcher at right back had a really good game as did James Ward W at left back with Matty and Harry doing what they do. The midfield was amazing as always with James Hewitt ’Brains’ and Ben Ryder controlling the centre of the pitch with the two Gaz’s, Gaz Rich and Gaz Bland, on the wings. Then Carlos added his 3rd for the game with a deflection into the roof of the net, before Harry put a ball over the top to Tom C to set up Ben. This was all before halftime.

After halftime we keep the game to 0-0 making it the 1st clean sheet of the season for the lads, even though it wasn’t with out lack of trying to score more gaols. Now on to next week. Newark 1’s
