South Nottingham 1’s travelled to Loughborough university 4’s
Looking forward to chasing fit students round the pitch the 1’s team were well prepped warmed up ready to roll! The game started hard and fast, a young James turner whipping around like a squirrel on speed, with Crosland and Archie in close chase hassling the students not as one sided as the students though it may be, tireless effort from Big Ben, Captain Gaz, Matty Robo and a visiting Dan too storming shifts!! A good effort from the whole team!
To be fair the breaks came from the students scoring from short corners pinging the bar and post at least 3 times and with only 2 open play goals saying a lot about how the team pulled together some outstanding defending from Tom P, Harry and Jim, coupled together by having Batty (that’s right you read correctly! Helped or hindered? You decide!) in the defence kept the score reasonable, some excellent vocalising and commanding, exquisite goalkeeping from Mark
Lots of positives to take away from this weeks game against a quality team destined for higher levels!
Finished 0-6 but to be honest could have been double figures easily against a lesser determined team!
