Snhc 1’s vs Nottingham 2’s
The super 1s roll Nottm...
on a cold, windy, snowy afternoon at the fortress called Bingham we entertained Nottm 2s... including some pink socks
We started fast with 3 goals inside the first 15mins... the whole team working as a unit, breaking up their play, great movement on and off the ball... Benny ‘Big Boy’ Ryder working as our midfield general ensuring we (Archie Heaney and me) held solid and in formation, Tom Pistolis & Harry Lane holding tight at the back assisted by the ever green Jim Ward and the energetic Tom Fletcher. With the mighty Neil Batty “rolling” on and off as/when needed! Goal 3 came from Fletch!!! After a quickly taken free hit, a great run from Ben finished by the surprised Fletch!! Sam Lane in goal pulled off a few good stops to help us go in at half time 5-0 up!! Big Gaz Bland was clear at half time... the job wasn’t done... more was needed, and more came shortly after they got one back from a break away Gaz Bland, Tom Crosland and ‘Carlos’ James Turner really showed their quality and we scored the best goal of the game finished by the skipper himself... 6-1 soon became 7,8,9,10 and finally 11 with some sublime goals, some from tackles on our D and a quick break, others slow and steady build up play... the negative would be we should have scored at least 12, hey Carlos
All in all a great team performance and win, from Sam in goal to Tom Crosland up top
