Down the hill the train came chuffing, South Nottm 2s 15 Nottm 4s.... nothing!!!
Having started the second game in the new formation we started strong scoring before @Adam Sharpe arrived.... in fairness I think Sharpie was on time for him, the game started just prior to 13:30 - which will have helped club skipper @Neil Batty (who umpired with club legend @Ray Stamper) get off early to help the 3s out in deepest coldest Derbyshire!! The goals kept coming with a really high press followed by half court presses (when we needed a breather!! ) causing them all sorts of issues! When they did finally get a break on @Sam Lane flew off his line and used all his 6’ plus frame to stop them, really good stuff!! @Will Brydon & @Harry Lane commanded the back line well with Will constantly helping the hole team verbally!! Harry was lobbing aerial balls from our 16 we’ll into their half, @Gary Hockey & @Mark Willey ran nearly as far as me and elder bro @I LANE with Gary getting his reward with a fine goal! @Ellz finished on 6, skipper @STU 3, @Oi 2, @Harry Lane 2 inc one that I think is still travelling!! @Gary Hockey 1 and me 1. After playing a 1-2 off the keepers helmet really professional performance by all, being on Players next week!!!
