Match Report | Newark 3s- 4 Mighty 3s -0 A clearly well drilled Newark team dominated the game with 87.% possession stats. The first half could have been worse than the 4 goals scored but for a majestic exhibition of goalkeeping from Mark, including a saved penalty stroke. Despite the hard first half South’s younger players kept working with Henry slotting in well in the central midfield and Rhys playing some nice skilful touches on the right wing and Arthur solid with little possession at right back! The second half was like the blitz with Newark having 93.5% possession, however, they were playing against a determined and hard working team. Knappy was at his aggressive best and we even had a couple of chances in their D. Mark was, again immovable in our goal and saved another stroke with ease! All in all, Great second half defending, younger players performed well against a very well drilled Newark team! Well done all (but special mention Mark and Knappy) |
