Match Report | Andy Wallace reports The mighty 3s traveled to Mansfield 4s In confident mood after our upgrade of performances recently. We managed to persuade Gary Pickering and Neil Batty to join us from the twos, promoting the youth up the club bringing the ‘experienced’ down, they were front and centre at the start of the game that Mansfield dominated. 20 minutes in the flow of the game changed with South starting to create chances and pressure their back four. Toby Clough was at his creative best and Arthur Dixon dominated the 50 50s as always. James Fildes in goal kept us in the game with a dominant performance between the sticks! From mid way in the first half to the second half South dominated and Paul Hollingsworth opened the scoring and then a 2nd. All the play was in the oppos half now . Neil picked tha ball up and “drove” into the D, top bins goal was delivered! Tony and Knappy were now secure and south dominated in midfield, Mike and Mark created well and Paul scored his second. Gary eventually got the award he deserved with a final shot drilled into the far corner like a rocket and goal! A great team performance and result for the 3s! 0-4 let’s take it to the super high flying Trent uni next week |
