Headline 3’s vs NTU 4’s is a 3:0 defeat to the mighty 3’s. it was a sterling effort. Sam in Goal had more touches in the first half than Paul or I up front all game. He was often horizontal and made some imperious saves. Looking back from the opposition half you saw grit, determination and a never die spirit that will live with me for a life time. Time after time wave after wave was repelled. There were glimmers of a potential attack here and there. A few flecks of forward momentum gold that soon became iron pyrite in a blink.
2:0 the first half finished with great praise to the 10 men behind the ball watched by the one man from a far. Or on the touchline when subbed. The second half became more expansive and we secured a well deserved 1:0 to total 3:0 with more glimmers rapidly snuffed our. We should be proud, we have performed better than any other league team. Bravo to Sam, bravo to all. Well done.
