Match Report | Sunday rearranged match Let’s start off this match report with a few stats.......... South Nott’s Mighty 3’s have only slightly different stats But what the Mighty 3’s did have oodles more of than the oppression was..... passion, commitment, team spirit and a pride for playing for our club. The official score was 4 - 0 buts let’s be bloody truthful..... the real score was 2 - 2 Now let’s start from the beginning.........pre match talk.....,, nothing needed to be said, we all knew what was up against us and what we needed to do. As soon as the game started they were all over us but our grit, determination, discipline and disruptive play kept them at bay. The amazing support from the side line also kept us going. This style of play and support continued for all 70 mins. Now normally match reports mention players by name and how they played but today no names need to be mentioned because everyone put 100% into the game . Everyone from 1 - 11 would have died for our club today. We kept them at bay till the final 10 mins of the first half and that stayed the same way till the final 15 mins of the second half. Two more dubious second half goals took it to 3 - 0. But we spent more time in their D than any other club has all season. Plus we should and on any other day scored two goals. NTU got their 4th late on. I wish I could give you more detail on the 70 mins of play but I’m still out of breath 6 hours later. I’m struggling to find any other occasion were I’ve felt more proud to have played for a team than today. 4 - 0 might be a loss but let’s be real, it was a victory for the club. Up the Mighty 3’s |
