Match report SNHC 3’s vs Nottingham 4’s

Having travelled the short distance for an away match to Goosedale, SNHC welcomed new member Craig Bingham to the team. A good start and a great player, Looking forward to more of the same when the aches have worn off!

We made our usual slow start!  Thankfully, we sneaked a few short corners with a Gary Pickering short, and the ever helpful ex-SNHC player Louis Temple helping deflect it in......1-0 south!

After some good play both ways, ended in a lost ball in Nottingham’s D, a well placed long pass from Nottingham left our defence outnumbered,  pop 1-1,

Undeterred we took it too them! A rare excursion forwards by batty .....   ..... saw him nailed by the effervescent Louis Temple, with a look to the bench he limped off, 1 dead leg! Making it easiest DoD vote..... ‘being nailed by Louis!’

Play continued with Hamza Adamjee working really hard excellent performance today.

Upfront we had, the gazelle like, Lord Richard Butler, delightfully slipping one past  the GK 2-1

At the half time chit chat we planned a change of pace and more possession. The team obliged with a good session of play

the there was odd stick tackle from our Louis

Nottingham were pressing well with what seemed like 4/5 up front at times this earned them a short which was flicked neatly into the right corner 2-2

South woke up and were pressed high with multiple shorts, some coming from our favourite stick tackler.
Gary Pickering drilled a beauty between the keeper legs 3-2

With some good play backwards and forwards, we had a young Toby Clough running tirelessly as was Josh Lawes and Alex butler darting around like a buzzy bee‘s

Then dominator Adam Sharpe stepped up and returned the favour and Barrelled poor Louis temple off the ball in a chase he could never win!
Another short corner captain Stuart Croston to have a shot putting it very wide (a few centimetres) only for a kind defensive player to deflect it into his own goal 4-2

A mention too for Extra special effort from Elliot Dixon who ran amazingly from a lovely weighted ball all the way to the by line,
....run Forest run....
‘he’s made it!’ Promptly gave it away with a weak pathetic pass to their center back, bless him, he should know running is bad for him! All that effort

For the latter few minutes a few stick tackles from our favourite Nottingham player and it remained 4-2 great work from the team! great fun!
