It was a windy afternoon in Bingham with South Notts 2’s facing Nottingham 4’s with South looking to consolidate their mid table position after a 4-2 win last weekend. Nottingham 4’s came into the game 3rd from bottom looking to cause an upset against South Notts.
South started the game stronger with lots of possession in the first half. South took their time to score their first goal after a number of chances just missing the goal. However, once South scored one goal they made their first half dominance count by scoring another 4 goals and conceding none. With Nottingham 4’s not really troubling the South Notts goal.
After a strong first half performance South knew that they couldn’t loose focus like they did during the second half last week. However, South did not let their foot of the gas and proceeded to score another 2 goals at the start of the 2nd half. Unfortunately, South could not keep a clean sheet as Nottingham scored a consolation goal off a short corner. Nevertheless, South continued to attack with ruthless precision and went onto score another 6 unanswered goals making the final score 13-1. The goals were scored by Alex (4), Henry (3), Hamza (2), Mike (2), Gary (1), and Elliot (1). Two strong South performances in the last two games means that with a win next weekend South Notts 2’s could go into 4th place in the league.
