Match Report | South vs Loughborough Town Although bottom of the league South had previously struggled against Loughborough Town. With recent good form South were looking for a decisive win and revenge from a previous. The game started out strong with a strong attack. After some back and forth we secured our first goal giving South the lead. With some excellent stops from Tommy in goal. Nathan's scores a cheeky lifted reverse off a deflection. Blocking Scofield's short corner attempts we end the 1st half to 2-1 up. South needed to start strong in the second half and secure an early lead. With terrible moments of thunderous showers, South fought to stay in the lead securing a 2 goal lead. But Loughborough fought back with a deflection goal to an unmarked Schofield camping at the edge of d. The final 10mins of the game saw Harry score the goal South needed with a 3v1 in their D followed by a diving reverse to give us the 4-2 lead. In the final moments of the game they score a p-flick from an unfortunate series of short corners and see South down to 10 men for the remainder of the game. A close victory 4-3 gives South their well earnt revenge. M. O. M - Tommy for keeping us in the game against Schofield's wrath D. O. D - Dan T for leaving his stick at the away ground.
