Men's 3rd XI Vs North Notts 3

A tough proposition today facing a competitive team and our playing with 10 men.

Down two nil early on South rallied well and came back in the game. The South front line was short of service but did well to fashion a few chances. A well taken third put the home team in pole position at half time.

South got to grips with the game in the second and half thanks to some excellent goalkeeping kept us in with a chance. South threatened and eventually converted a classic short corner 1-2 routine from you know who.. 3-1 and back in the game but the home team struck back with a slightly debatable goal.

North saw the game out but 10 men South can be very proud to draw the second half 1-1 and give North a close encounter.  Many thanks to Tony & Graham for stepping up and well done to young Tom Cross making his debut, showing some good skill & determination down the right flank.

The rest of the team - Alex H, James B, Craig B, Will B, Neil B, Elliot D & Captain Stuart Grozzy Croston. Great stuff in challenging conditions, we go again in 2 weeks’ time.
