Match Report vs a beefed up Belper team sitting in 2nd place in the table (although maybe not anymore)! So where do we start, other than CHAMPIONS! And not just CHAMPIONS, but CHAMPIONS 3 weeks early!! A really tough game today against certainly the 2nd strongest team in the league, with some incredible battles happening at both ends of the pitch. Belper loaded their midfield with a number of exceptional players who laid their foundation and led their attack time after time. South defence held fast and had an incredible game with our MOM, with no doubt being our superhero keeper Alex Heron who made some incredible saves throughout the match keeping the score level all the way through to the last quarter when the Belper legs started to tire and the skipper stepped up and did what he always does when required and put one in to the back of the net - shortly followed by another from Ellz and a final goal in the last minutes by Grozzy yet again. Possible not a scoreline Belper deserved but certainly one South did. A fantastic game by all today against a tough opposition and, yes, we’re all off for a beer. Well done to everyone that has contributed through the season this really has been an effort by an incredible squad; everyone should be very proud of another promotion. Well done ALL! Upwards and onwards.
