Men's 4th XI Vs Beeston 9

South Nottingham 4’s played Beeston 9s on a dull damp day with a 12:30 start. The trouble was South started at 1:15 and were 6-0 down at half time. Second half was much improved with the defence tightening things up, both Grahams Morgan and Johnson, Tony Ellis and Adam Board having more success in thwarting Beeston’s pressure and Simon Recaldin making some excellent saves in goal.

Adam Hopewell, getting off his sick bed, scored a well taken goal.

Paul Hollingworth, Fletcher Burton and Stan Jackson made several runs towards goal  and Cole Cadman and Ken Shapland played well in midfield as did Norman Buttery. Beeston scored to equalise the second half.
Overall a much improved performance in the second half, looking good for the away day to Belper next week. Final score 7:1 to Beeston with Adam Hopewell scoring South’s only goal.
