Match Report | After the impressive win away last week, South Nottingham 4s looked for back to back victories, this week against West Bridgford Development. Straight from the off, it was clear that it would be a close game. End to end with South coming close early on. Then pressure from WB, with fine heroics from the defence....and so it continued with WB having slightly better of the first half. Second half saw South step it up and spent more time in their half. Pressure from both sides, but when WB did break, Tom Hall in goal stood firm. Then breakthrough, or so we thought. Penalty corner, hit by Ken Shapland, forced over the line only for it to be ruled out.(where's VAR when you need it?!) So it ended 0-0, overall a fair result for both teams. Special mention goes to Adam Board and Fletcher Burton who played out of their skin on the right side, Cole Cadman on the left playing his trademark back stick passes to good effect. His dad, Greg Cadman, playing left back, still just starting out in his hockey career showed good touches to keep WB at bay. |
