South 2s rocked up to Bingham for a rearranged fixture against Burton 4s, hoping to avenge a poor performance at their place earlier in the season knowing they'd need to play well to get it.

South started well and controlled the game but were unable to find the final ball, until after 15 minutes when Alex Cavan was able to scoop a rebound into the roof of the net for a deserved 1-0. 10 minutes later South doubled their lead after a no look pass from Nathan Gerrard to Dan Truman caught the Burton defenders unaware for Dan to sweep home. South lead 2-0 at the half and Tommy Hall's goal had been barely threatened but every player knew more sharpness was needed second half to be sure of the 3 points.

Fortunately despite a slow start to the second half, South found that sharpness. Alex added to the lead with a carbon copy of his first goal and Finn Collins scored soon after, finishing low from the right of the D. Burton did get a reply with one of their few chances, South being unable to clear after a goalline scramble and their CF being well placed to tap over the line. South were still pouring forward at this stage in search of more goals and were grateful to some 1 on 1 defending from Ben Walker whose long ball after one such tackle found Mike Shapland who played it to Sam Clough who returned it for Mike to sweep home from the edge of the D. With 5 minutes to go a ball through to Nathan in stride saw him dart past the last man and fire home to wrap up a 6-1 win for South who stay comfortably in 4th spot with a tough run of fixtures coming up.
