Men's 2nd XI Vs Belper 5

A beautiful spring day at Belper Meadows saw a depleted bare 11 South team square up against the mix of maturity and youth of Belper.  

From the start South seemed a little lack lustre, enjoying the spring sunshine and easy play we didn’t look like the cut throat team that beat WB the week before. But we still peppered the keeper who seemed to be on a mission to keep the game to a goalless draw!  (Hopefully the sxp was applied for)
Well that was never going to happen! See below for the list of goals as I’m not going to describe each one in detail. Safe to say South 2’s are looking unbeatable this season!  

Goals 
1- Cav Flick after Grozzy drive down Right, square to Jonesy who hit defenders belly on the line.
2- Grozzy close range lift o er sprawling keeper
3- Gary reverse from top of D
4- Cav open side drive into bottom corner

HT

5- Cav reverse through keepers legs
6- Jonesy - bouncing reverse ball through from Grozzy, slight touch in front of keeper rolled across the line 
7- Grozzy low drill PC nutmeg finish
8- PC Cav drag - keeper saved and Leon follow up tap in.
9- Cav low open side drilled finish half way up back board

Great work from MoM Adam Board, not so top work from Mr Willey who really should know not  dispute the rules with a Belper umpire.  Thank you to James for his goalee action today keeping a clean sheet with a lovely tap over the bar 

On to next week against Mansfied 3’s at home and a win will secure promotion.
