Formally therefore, I would like to welcome you all to South Nottingham Hockey Club’s 2019/2020 season.

This note is designed to give you all notification of when to expect the new season to swing into action, dates for fixtures and other administrative duties required to set us up for another successful year.

So, below you will see dates and times for pre-season training and normal training along with dates planned for some pre season friendlies, league fixtures and details of when Junior training kicks in with appropriate breaks for half terms etc.  All training and home games are at Bingham behind Toothill School.

As per the last few seasons all our training will be supported by qualified coaches from MT13.  To continue to develop ourselves, whilst this investment in formal coaching staff comes at a cost to the club, we believe that this financial commitment is something which benefits us as individual players and our game.

Our subs although slightly up on last season as agreed at the Club’s AGM, remain the most competitive in Nottinghamshire which is a deliberate policy to ensure that we minimise our barriers for entry for new players and we use our existing funds appropriately – for the further advancement of playing and developing hockey.

To remind you of our fee structure:

Adult Subs:                                     £50

Students/Juniors:                            £25

Match Tax:                        Adults    £10                         Students/Juniors etc:     £5

 

Junior Training  on Sundays                 Free

 

For clarity Juniors – under the age of 13 qualify for free membership.  As soon as they are 13 and attending senior training on a Thursday or playing senior matches on a Saturday the fee of £25 applies.

 

An appropriate time to make a wide and public appeal for any donations or sponsorship for the club in particular for our Junior section which needs to self fund through sponsorship and donations run by the ever efficient Andy Wallace.  If you are considering sponsorship or making a donation – for which we would be very grateful - please could you contact us through the website.

Finally and most importantly all this is about us enjoying ourselves playing this great game called hockey.  Let’s set ourselves a target of doing just that.

Thursday evenings – 7.30 – 8.30pm August 15th, 22nd, 29th

 

Senior Training

Thursday evenings – 7.30-9pm 

Starts 5th Sept – 26th March

Excluding 12th, 19th, 26th Dec & 2nd Jan

 

Junior Training

Sunday’s half a pitch at 10:30am - 11.30am

 15th September to the 20th October inclusive

 10th November to the 15th December inclusive

 12th January to 16th February Inclusive

 1st March to 29th March inclusive
