If you have difficulty paying your Annual Membership Subscription, you MUST write to the Chairman before 1st October giving an explanation of your circumstances.. The Management Committee will consider cases of hardship in confidence and sympathetically and will reply in writing. New members joining the club part way through the season will pay a reduced rate subscription at the discretion of the Management Committee.
- Match Taxes
Match taxes must be collected for ALL Club matches, whether League, Cup or Friendly. A Match Sheet must be completed and returned for all games shown in the handbook Match Taxes for Senior’s games must be paid before departing. Players are reminded that it is their responsibility to ensure that their payment has been correctly recorded on the Match Sheet. Players who forget to pay their match tax on the day of the game will be required to pay it the following week. No match tax is levied on juniors’ fixtures.
Any player who persistently fails to pay their match taxes will be sent a reminder letter, and will be asked to pay the outstanding amount immediately by cheque. The official Match Sheet must be used; no other method of recording match taxes will be accepted. The Team Captain (or person nominated to collect Match Taxes for each team) will be responsible for any money collected until it is received by the Treasurer. Match taxes must be collected for tournaments relative to the cost.
- Refreshments and Clubhouse Responsibilities
Team Captains for home matches must establish, before playing, whether teas are required at Caythorpe after the match. If teas are NOT required, it is their responsibility to immediately inform Mrs Jean Green before 12 noon on Saturdays - home phone 0115 955 1036, or Saturdays (10am onwards) at Caythorpe Cricket Club on 0115 966 3132. - Safety
Due to the nature of the game, England Hockey and the club recommend that all players wear gumshields and shin pads for all training sessions and matches. The club holds civil liability insurance for all club members and volunteers, and Legal Proceedings cover. The club does not carry Personal Accident or Injury cover, and players are therefore strongly recommended to take out adequate insurance cover individually.
