I can’t believe that with an official drought being announced and temperatures up at 30C I’m writing to you all about an exciting new season about to kick off. 

I hope you have had a great Summer break and like me are looking forward to honing those skills just a little better, getting that little bit fitter and playing some competitive hockey - exciting!

So the start dates have been circulated in the usual fashion on Social Media and are posted on the website:

- Senior training at Bingham starts Thursday 18th August 7:30-9:30
- Junior training Sunday 11th September 10:30-11:30
- We are arranging intra club games on the 20th & 27th August and 3rd September 
- Our amazing fixture Secretary is arranging friendly games against local opposition on the 10th & 17th September 
- And then the big one is when the competitive league starts on 24th September

As I say exciting!

In terms of news/developments over the Summer (on top of the ladies winning Commonwealth gold!) we have a league restructure which included our Mens 3rd XI actually getting promoted!  So look out for revised fixtures which again have been circulated. 

Our Mens 4th XI will be officially enjoying competitive league hockey this season which will be great for our youngsters.

In terms of training we have a coach and support in place for the Juniors on Sundays. On Thursdays we are still arranging coaches hopefully through MT13.  Otherwise we have contingency arrangements. 

Call for help - if anybody is qualified or knows somebody who is qualified and fancies helping out on a Thursday please can you let either Neil Batty or I aware. Thanks. 

On to of all this we have a social arranged for 3rd September to formally welcome the new season. 

Finally a timely reminder for you to re register on our website please - which is required every year please for insurance purposes and takes literally 3 minutes - and of course pay your very reasonable subscriptions! 😀. Registration needs to be done soonest please to ensure insurance - basically you can’t play until registered. Thanks.
